Mostly when we poke him, but also to himself when he's wandering around the house. He also honks at us and stomps his feet when he wants us to get up in the morning. It's gotten so that the people grumble in bunny-language, now, too.Moontreehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04073419890892949215noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34767694.post-18084883352569670242008-05-12T11:27:00.000-05:002008-05-12T11:27:00.000-05:00Aw adorable grumpy bunny!I'm very familiar with th...Aw adorable grumpy bunny!

I'm very familiar with that sound. I often stopped briefly to watch his ears slowly rise, his eyes half open and then he'd start growling until I continued petting. It's more growling than grunting to me and very different from the soft "uf uf uf" sounds they make when communicating. Who said rabbits had no voice?
Johnny hated moulting time, and I suspect it it just a very itchy business. He'd sit in the back of his large outdoor enclosure, back hunched and grinding his teeth. Not treat could please him and even dandelion leaves (his favourite food) were wacked out of my hands with his forepaws, accompanied by a very loud growl-grunt. Poor old boy.WA Twitchgirlnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34767694.post-78571825154706694522008-04-29T22:08:00.000-05:002008-04-29T22:08:00.000-05:00A mooing bunny?
