It sounded like a Sunday, but I knew it was Wednesday...

This whole week feels like Monday. I wish I could give you back a Saturday, Mo!

You're quite right to object to being made to wake up and get up on a M*nday, Mohawk.

If anyone should have to endure the ordeal of getting up early against their will on M*nday mornings, it should be hoomins.

This kind of thing is beneath rabbits! *THUMP!*

Fleetie, you are supposed to recognize my reference. As for you, Mohawk, I don't think we quite got you to "awake," and I certainly don't think it is too late to undo anything we did. Just find that little warm place you were in again while we annotate our copy of Sayings of the Americas Handbook from the current "waking so-and-so is like trying to take a banana from a gorilla" "to waking so-and-so is like trying to wake a bunny on Monday,". . . Much catchier, I think.

Auntie Jane: No, I had to google it.

The first hit was "Day of the Triffids", by John Wyndham, which book I have indeed read. When I was 10 or 11. So a very long time ago! I read quite a bit of his other stuff around that time as well.

I love the little sooty snoot!

But I must know--how did he get his name? He doesn't appear to have an unusual haircut.

Hi sallyneary,

Mo's dad here. If you look between his ears, you can jjjjuuuuuusssstt make out the tuft of hair that got him his name. Many rabbits have it, but it's higher than usual on our Mo'. Thus his name.
