Dougal says "Are you using a circular blur filter on my photo, hoomin?! *THUMP!* "Notwithstanding the above, Dougal looks very pensive and serious here! And his left ear is less "lopped" than usual, it seems to me.Anyway, this pose of Dougal's looks like portrait material!
"Danged hoomin paparazzi! What a celebun gotta do to duck these 'enquiring' minds???"
My big sister used to look at me this way sometimes. It never turned out good for me ....
Yes, Fleetie, he does seem to regard it as a formal sitting. The patterns on the nearby blankets add a nice touch. A hundred years from now, this is the photo of Dougal that will grace a living room wall.
Don't look at it too long. The urge to kiss his wee mouf increases the longer you stare.
Well done! Great to see Dougal. On Monday night. Late. And getting later. And still stuck at work. Hoping to get home at some point to give Mr. Bun his meds :-( Sigh.
Well, Elsewhere did say, "and still no disapproval." Maybe Dougal decided it was time to get serious. ITtheNth, I hope Mr. Bun is on the mend and that you are home by now.
...well Auntie, he's fed and got his meds (never likes it and disapproves splendidly). I've driving home, on a long bridge, felt the phone wiggle. Thought to myself 'it's someone from DR!' Sure enough :-) Didn't read it though, wanted to make sure I get home first in one piece. You know, Mr. Bun, his med and such :-)
Dougal is dignified - you just know you have to toe the line.
ITtheNth, what an amazing thing to be able to do. My heart sort of belongs to the Neolithic, but what you described is really cool. Please don't ever use a phone when driving. Watch out for bridges, especially when entering them. Don't drive home when your tired, and you and Mr. Bun have better days.
Now that is a very withering look!xx Rachel
I just found myself imagining postage stamps with the noble heads of Queen Cinnamon and Dougal on them!Or banknotes! "I promise to pay the bearer on demand the sum of ONE KILOBUN OF DISAPPROVAL." (English banknotes used to bear a very similar inscription for a long time; not sure w... Oh! I just checked a tenner, and it is still there!)
I picture this likeness of Dougal on a wonderfully rendered tapestry hanging or church kneeler. Behold how the noble bun brings out the artful creativity in one such as I, a gal who is about as creative as a dust mop, possibly much less so....
Kelly, an hypothesis like that should not go untested. I have a very dusty floor...
