Apologies

Hey all, sorry about the more-sporadic-than-usual posting this week. Things have been a little goofy here this week. DR will return next Monday.

As much as I hate to miss out on the grumpy buns, I hope all is well. Looking forward to your return! :)

Toaster seems more than capable of holding down the fort. I, too, hope it is all good goofy. Oh, and about Monday, no need to rush back or anything. No, no, not necessary at all. Tuesdays, Tuesdays are good.

No problem at all, Toaster has it covered. He has kindly agreed to continue toasting our collective behinds with his glare until next week.

This tiny little Cinnamon-look-alike has it covered.

We're gonna be thoroughly Disapproved Of all weekend.

He may end up with a high score in the "Most Hoomins Disapproved Of While On Duty" game - well, behind Queen Cinnamon of course!

Why do I feel like I am meant to be doing BunChores now, when nobun even owns me? How is Toaster managing that?!

Some bunny in our house keeps putting the Toaster page up on the big screen tv. So, for once, I AM looking forward to Monday.

That's just Princess trying to insinuate that the amount of footrubs and craisins by the pool are unusually low this year. Don't you listen to her RG! ;)

Yes, I hope you guys are doing ok. Bunnies, birdies, beans...

Fleetie said...

Oh and "Hi" to Dougal as well. I hope the special boy is doing ok and keeping his hoomins in line!

Send him some nose- and ear-rubs from me!

Looking at Toaster I feel like a very unlucky punk ;-) So he'll be fine holding down the fort over the weekend.

However, can haz a new song, Fleetie? I'm still humming the first one you posted, can't unhear it you know. Ehmmm.... you've done well.

Furbeast said...

Fleetie, what on earth gave you the impression that not being indentured to a bun excuses you in any way from performing bunchores?

I urge you to spend the weekend stocking up on hay and treats, or come Monday you will be toast!

See you monday but in the mean time we will enjoy Toaster!

Ijon,

Toaster has a LOT more than 6 Disapprovals chambered!

So yes, you are (like the rest of us) a very unlucky punk!

As for another BunSong, I can't think of any more right now. So I'm afraid it'll have to be "Bun Charming" for the foreseeable future!

Unless...

I'm the dandy HighwayBun who you're too scared to mention!
I spend my cash on looking FLASH and Disapproving Of you hoomins!
The Devil take your stoopid ways and your sad clothes collection!
Throw your safety overboard, worship our RABBIT NATION!

Ijon Tichy the Nth said...

... well done, all around, indeed,Toaster stands up and delivers!

Fleetie, I don't believe you have answered Furbeast's question. RG, it is either Chico or Zoey. I think it is Zoey. "My Chico, he could have looked like this, and my man, he has the mustache for it." It is such a put on, I mean pathetic lament, that no one is going to help you find a sombrero on Etsy. I am sorry but the little one has insisted that we all be in own this. Now as for Monday or even Tuesday, I really think Wednesday week would be just ducky. Accessorizers, don't forget to let your duckies hop on!

An Adam Ant fan! <3

..Shall we forever call Mr Goddard "Adam Bun" from here on out? I think it would amuse him. :)

Toaster doesn't seem impressed, but the only music that I've ever seen impress a bun was my silver dutch (Bugs Bunny's sister, I swear, in personality) fondness for Freddie Mercury.

Jane, Furbeast:

There are some things that even I will refuse to do!

What makes BunChores bearable for a hoomin is the knowledge that what the hoomin gets in return is the presence of one or more wonderful rabbits! Rabbits, with their lovely velvety twitchy noes, their elegant and beautiful ears, their adorable bunny faces, their disapproving moufs, their furry bellehs (which must be snorgled), their hoppy ways, and their wonderful, intelligent, bunny personalities.

If, as is the current situation, I am denied all those rewards, then I am afraid that I am NOT gonna be doing any BunChores!

Speaking of not being owned by buns, if there are bun servants in the Seattle area who would like occasional produce for rabbits, please let me know. There aremany things that cats just won't eat.

Auntie Jane (It is official!) said...

Sally, what a nice offer. I just hope a new and perhaps unforeseen westward migration of bunns dragging their beans behind them will not result in any parts of the Pacific coastline sliding into the ocean. Still, it is really kind of you. Fleetie, once again a bean proposes. In the coming days we look forward to learning how the bunns will dispose. Such insolence would ordinarily land you in the quarries, but upon maturer reflection I am guessing the Bunny Kingdom will go for on demand SWWWs IBF.

Auntie Jane: "the quarries".....too funny! Some time in the quarries would cure even the most recalcitrant hoomin of its uppity ways!

You put a hat on a rabbit and wattaya get?
A whole lotta stink-eye and a karmic debt.
St. Peter (Rabbit) don't ya call me, 'cause I can't go
There's 16 tons of bun treats I owe.

(Sincerest apologies to Tennessee Ernie Ford)

Auntie Jane (It is official!) said...

Janet, Maybe it isn't about recalcitrance or punishment. Maybe it is just evidence of a decadent fringe in the bunny drive to accessorize movement. Maybe for some fluffy little ducks and handwoven hats are not enough. Maybe they have to have gold and diamonds and stuff that has to be dug up. Fleetie's only mistake was failing to realize that this unrepresentative, decadent bunny elite expects that humans who look at them, fantasize about this glamour, etc., should do a stint in the quarries. This elite is not elitist when it comes to having humans work for them. It is the only thing everybody gets to do. Wish Feetie had known. They don't need an excuse, but he did make himself rather conspicuous with the no buns, no bun chores fiat. Brandi might have been right about simpler times, simpler bunnies. Anyway, this is the show and it looks like Fleetie is just going to have to purchase his ticket.

Where is Monday's BUNNY???/!!!!! Going through withdrawal here....

... it's been a loooooong weekend, and a loooong Monday, running out of songs ya know ;-)

There is never a need for a hoomin to apologize. Buns know to expect less from all of us- after all, the phrase "only human" was probably first stated by a bun. In all seriousness, hope you are well...
