Ash has gallantly hopped up to relieve Patrick after his long watch.Brave and noble as he is for doing it, he does not look overjoyed about the task that faces him, and he does not look impressed with us.Just like Patrick, he will brook no stoopidity or backchat. We are to shut up, get on with our BunChores, bring meals, drinks and treats, and keep quiet. And show some respect. Ash opines that hoomins recently have been starting to become over-familiar and get Ideas Above Our Station.Ash is here to tell us that This Will Not Do.Now scurry! Scuttle! We are to begone and get on!
Ash has come to visit us in the HoominHutch in his backyard. He considered allowing us to live indoors, but we are just too smelly. He has installed a bell in the HoominHutch so he can summon us at dawn to begin our BunChores. Come sundown when we are no longer required, it's back outside to the Hutch. Hoomins should be neither seen nor heard!
... hmmm, well, here we go:Hoomin 1: It's a rabbit. Ash is a g** d**n rabbit.Hoomin 2: Ash, can you hear me? Ash?Ash: [speaking in an electronic, distorted voice] Yes, I can hear you.Hoomin 2: What was your special order?Ash: You read it. I thought it was clear.Hoomin 2: What was it?Ash: Bring back bunn form. Priority One. All other priorities rescinded.Hoomin 1: The damn company. What about our lives, you son of a bunn?Ash: I repeat, all other priorities are rescinded.Hoomin 2: How do we snurgle it Ash? There's gotta be a way of snurgling it. How? How do we do it?Ash: You can't.Hoomin 1: That's bu****it.Ash: You still don't understand what you're dealing with, do you? Perfect disappointment. Its disapproving perfection is matched only by its disdain.Hoomin 3: You admire it.Ash: I admire its aloofness. A disapprover... unclouded by conscience, remorse, or delusions of morality.Hoomin 1: Look, I am... I've heard enough of this, and I'm asking you to rub his belleh.Ash: [Hoomin 2 goes to snurgle Ash, who interrupts] Last word.Hoomin 2: What?Ash: I can't lie to you about your chances, but... you have my sympathies.
I quit thinking long ago - it's just head down and do - usually not good enough. Go pick on some else, Ash.
Wow he's so not impressed!
That's my Ash there! :) He was very disapproving and I'm lucky I got that picture snapped just in time. :)
