I am not overly fond of Christmas myself, CB. Nativity scenes are so lacking rabbit figurines, which is to say, very historically inaccurate. Early biblical scholars have confirmed the presence of wild rabbits guarding the manger, disapproving of any animal (namely cats) getting too close to the infant God. I personally have read an account (I believe it was Josephus) that spoke of wild hares using their long ears to wipe the tears of The Creator Made Flesh. These events are not in the Gospel accounts of the Nativity of Christ, however, it might have been because they were edited, approved, published, and accepted by people who did not like rabbits (probably cat lovers) or had been given a good Old Testament style bloody ear thwacking. The controversy among theologists rages on to this day, but The Vatican has proof hidden in their secret vaults, just to be spiteful towards The Reformation, which still smarts to this very day.
Brandi, I know there is a real mystery here. I long for you to continue your study and bring the truth to light. There is one little piece to the puzzle that I can add. Years ago I helped a Rabbi learn Arabic. When I mentioned my bunny fostering, he told me I would be pleased to know that rabbits are not kosher, and I was. How this fits into this remarkable story, I do not know, but there you have it.
This stubbular Disapprover seems to be suffering from an attack of the hoomin blues.
This can be caused by excessive exposure to hoomins and their stoopidity.
The remedy is extra treats, extra breakfast, extra lunch, and extra dinner, all with minimal hoomin stoopidity. Also, it helps to disapprove as much as possible, to neutralise the stoopidity.
Good luck, Cadbury Benjamin! We're all hoping you can shake it off soon!
I am not sure I approve of rabbits not being Kosher. That puts them in the same yucky category as shellfish! Maybe it was a Levitical oversight? To say that rabbits are basically garbage and unclean?? WHUH? I suppose it IS ok that there are not farms that raise rabbits for Kosher consumption. THEN AGAIN...Kosher animals are treated with much more respect and decency than non Kosher animals. Tough call... That is it for today, Children. Catechesis of the Lagomorphophiles will resume...on...some other day. See you next time when we will be discussing of rabbits in their eschatological significance.
brandi brings up a good point. Constantine was a notorious cat lover; who knows what lagomorph based gospels he and his buddies edited out during the Council of Nicaea.
Bunnies are friends, not food ... Well, stinky hoomin flesh is not Kosher for consumption either, or lions or tigers or bears ... or turtles or horses or catfish ... So, bunns aren't in too bad of company, except for stinky hoomins ...
***nods sagely at J2B*** St. Constantine also refused baptism until right before his death, saying that he was unworthy, as he had to commit many a sin while being emperor. What sins? Murder? Political Conspiracy? Or refusing to acknowledge the supremacy of the Lagomorph Overlords?!!!!!! The last is the gravest of offenses, a sin for immediate excommunication! And Narfling the Garthok!
Oh dear heavens, Fleetie is right, it just took us stoopid hoomins 'til now to realize!
The shadow is the ghost of Christbun Past, Cadbury is the ghost of Christbun Present, and the shaft of light is *shiver* the ghost of Christbun Future (not that hoomins will have much of one).

...May hoomin days be scary, with plight.
And may all your Christmasbuns give bites.
So early?

It occurs to me that Cadbury Benjamin may very well be training his shadow to come after us too!
I suspect that his shadow is a fast learner!
And that we are no match for it!
