It was all over - I was dead. What would it be? The guillotine? Hanging? The chair? The rack? The Chinese water torture? Hmmph. Mere child's play compared to what surely awaited me.
"Was there no end to the conspiracy of irrational prejudice against Red Ryder and his peacemaker?"
Every time the subject of firearms and lawmaking comes up in conversation, the above quote is all that goes through my head. Oh, that and "You'll shoot your eye out".
I had a Red Ryder BB gun. I wasn't supposed to shoot anybody's eye out. I sure slammed the lever down on my fingers a couple times though. You'ld think once would do it. (Got my litle brother that way once too - nasty me.)
And don't try to fob off those grocery store dandelions on Fudge, either. That's just way too easy. If you don't have access to pesticide free wild dandelions, you should be cultivating them in windowboxes or under greenhouse lights (in winter). The more effort it takes to obtain fresh dandelions, the more delicious they are!
Today is my stepdads birthday. He is from North Carolina, so we are having some southern cookin'. I made what you in the south call a "mess" of greens. I know they have too much calcium for bunns, but they are enjoying the stems. I also made my world famous, kickass cornbread, made with pure bacon fat. Oh, and buttered candied carrots. I was going to make rice with gravey, but thought that would just be a bit much. Mom is making a pork roast. I don't know why I mentioned this other than bragging about my cornbread. Everyone is talking abou fudge and food...
BTW, everyone. We should be very cautious about our comments in such close proximity to Bert lest he get any really horrible ideas about what Ijon called (to his enduring fame) " the pesky side of light".

aw I love silver martins - is that another bunny hiding behind Fudge?
That's just so wrong :-) Spot on with that unbreathable air, I think we're getting there.
those flowers are so wrong you wouldn't want to eat them anyway
water we can't drink and rabbits we can't snorgle...just kick me, now!
"Oh, it's Labor Day Weekend? Let's split it fairly. I'll take the weekend while you do the labor."
Furbeast, your suggestion sounds perfectly reasonable to Fudge. And why not? Our purpose in life is to serve our lagomorph masters.
LOL, everytime I hear the word Fudge, I think of Ralphie in Christmas Story, THE EFF DASH DASH DASH word...
... oh my brandi b,

Does anyone else see a disapproving white bunny behind Fudge's ears?
I see him. Maybe Fudge is holding him back. Maybe Fudge is the reasonable rabbit.
"Three blocks away, Schwartz was getting his..."
... congratulations brandi b, there's nothing like watching that movie during the last weekend of summer ;-) . Sigh.

Um, for the record, I LOVE guns...
... oh, c'mon, you'll shoot your eye out ;-)

This adorable, silver-lined, perfect-eared Disapprover demands (and deserves) an explanation!
Where are the dandelions?!
As Fudge's slaves, we'd better get moving and hop to it! And show some gratitude for being allowed to live in Fudge's presence!
What Fleetie said!

Fudge - I'm hungry for some fudge.
RG, I hope you locked up your BB gun before you left home. The DR lineup always consist of such luscious bunns. Thank you for this little guy!

I can't wait for 24 hours of Ralphie!!!
What is the difference between an otter bunny and a silver marlin?
FFFFUUUUUDGE! I love Fudgie Bunny and the mysterious bun behind him or her...

Yeah, it's been hard, BB. I have been longing for fudge since the first day. Happy Birthday to your stepdad. I do love a party!
