Oh yeah. 6Bunns Angle of Repose is going to go to Zero very quickly! Or maybe it is 180 - I am not sure how that is measured. Either way, smelling salts are in order.
Buddy has decided to try to strrreeetch his lips out as far as he can so he can give us a smooch just to get us to go away without having to get too close ...
Either that ... or "What in the world could some stoopid hoomin have done to put a look like that on Poor Buddy's FACE???" Swift death sentence should be carried out immediately ...
Am I that transparent? Does everyone know I'm a pushover for rabbits ... I'm hooked ... I'll do anything for the furry little faces ... those feet, those tails, those furry ears (Oh ZOEY and CHICO!!!!), those tummehs, and moufs ... oh, gosh ... I'm an addict ... and I SUTR ... terribly
If there's anyone in the Cleveland area - please check out the 'I Love My House Rabbit' website today! There are 2 10 month old Lionhead Girls that are urgently looking for homes!! They only have until this Sunday, before it's too late for them! I've forwarded the link to the House Rabbit Society in Buckeye County in Ohio, too - in hopes that they can intercede and save these girls! Please spread the word if you know of anyone in that part of the world, or if you have any ideas. There is a contact name listed.
I called and left a msg for Sara to call me if I can help financially. Surely if funds come in just for these two rabbits for food and other supplies, vet care and spaying, that whatever facility is housing them would not kill them just because TIMING is inconvenient! I have a lionhead and KNOW they do not eat THAT much or take up THAT much space, for Frith's sake! (although my girl lionhead has a huge x-pen) They probably have these girls housed with barking, baying, crying dogs and they will be lucky to have their delicate hearing intact when they do get out of there!!
Brandi B. Please do me a favor and let me know what you find out? I'm all in to help them out too - anyway I can. I've sent emails to a couple of rescue groups already - just to get the word around. I think "Buddy" would approve, too!
@brandi b: Unfortunately, in shelters it's often a case of "no room at the inn." Shelter rabbits are routinely euthanized because someone has brought in another rabbit, so the one(s) that have been there the longest get put to sleep. I volunteer for a rabbit rescue; I have often left a high kill shelter with a rabbit for foster care, while a new animal comes in the front door. So shelters are often struggling to stay in the same place. It's not the shelter's fault, it is the fault of irresponsible owners.
I have some happy news - The story of the 2 Lionhead bunnies that were living on borrowed time must have really gotten around today & I'm happy to report that I just read that they have found a home and are settling in tonight! Thanks everyone!

ooh the squint! the squint!
*thud*
...and the angle of Repudiation equals the angle of Revulsion.
All of which means that Buddy will fire Disapproval back along the same vector from which hoomin stoopidity was incident.
Right back atcha, STOOPID HOOMIN!
(Stoopid hoomin reels from the intense burning disapproval reflected back at it.)
OMG Bunfan, if someone pays for their adoption fee, will they stay the execution? I wish I could drive to Cleveland!!!!

Stupid humans.
Hi All,
I have some happy news -
The story of the 2 Lionhead bunnies that were living on borrowed time must have really gotten around today & I'm happy to report that I just read that they have found a home and are settling in tonight!
Thanks everyone!
YES!!!
Rabbits RULE! And so do rabbit PEOPLE! Damn, I love the interwebs at times like these.
Will I be allowed to pass if I bring a tribute of kale and parsley?
Thanks for helping the bunns. I want to smooth you all!
I meant "smooch," smooch, you all.
Well done!
I'm so glad the little bunnies have been saved!
@anonymous - I guess I'm not totally opposed to being 'smoothed', either
;-)
Yay for the little girl bunnies! I'm so glad someone was able to take them. May they have long and happy lives in their new home.
Bun Fan, Anything for bunns and those who help them! Thank you for making me laugh. I O U one smoothing.
