Uh-oh...6Buns, BWB! And a rex to boot. Elmyra Syndrome overload.
Noel might be the bunny of my nightmares. BWB look so ghostly, throw in a don't-mess-with-a-rex-itude and I want to curl up in my blankie and start sucking my thumb.
Brandi : Wow! I don't know whether I've seen a WBW Rex before. I would not have noticed that Noel is a Rex! I think I kinda tacitly and unknowingly assumed that there were no such things as white Rexes.
Anonymous : It's a fair cop! But as an English stoopid hoomin, my written mistakes tend to be typos and therefore accidental, rather than spelling errors and intended to appear as they do!
Anyway, we need clarification on whether Noel is a Rex.
She is a rex, but in her more senior years her whiskers haven't seemed to all stick around. Though she is quick to assert that no matter if she's 9 or 11, the intensity of her disapproval has not waned.
Thanks for your wonderful comments about our BWB! For this, she'll allow you the relief of a quick and mostly painless death.
AH HAH! She is a rex. I did not know it by sight so much, but instead felt a frigid darkness creep into my room when I beheld her gaping maw. It was like somebun hopped across my grave. I will be sleeping with a lamp on tonight. I could use a bit of Johnny Walker Red right about now, just a little snort to calm the old nerves.
YES, it is a BWB and a Rexie! And, she has a magnificent dewlap! I won't be able to sleep tonight! I will have to keep coming in here to look at her! I'm so glad she has nice hoomin slaves! Yeah! Lot's of people are scared of BWBs. But, they really are the VERY BEST! Such good snugglers! But, I don't want to take away any of the impact of Noel's disapproval! Forget I said they were so wonderful... they're terrible horrible scary creatures who can disolve hoomins with a glance of their cranberry eyes! hee hee... how was that Noel? I think I fooled them for you! :)
Since Noel has retired her royal whiskers, you can see an excellent example of Rexie whiskers on, what I believe to be, one of the most fabulous rabbits ever, Clovis:
Hey sixbunnies what about luna and me?I mean noel is a great rex and i give her the respect that she deserves but we are fab white buns too!from a disapproving Speedy!
Exactly, SixBunnies; I like to think of thr Rex whiskers situation as Rexes choosing to forego impressive whisker arrays in favour of that lovely distinctive velvety fur that makes them so unique.
If you go back and look at pictures of Queen Cinnamon, she only had vestigial whiskers, really.
And she was a very fine, attractive, velvety, Rexy Queen indeed!
The bunnies with the pink eyes must be looking at us hoomins through something like rose colored lenses. They are so sweet and loving. The disapproval is not strong in them.
From Speedy's mum-Rose colour lenses!Hahahahaha only on there terms Speedy is loving and sweet when he feels like it then he'll have stroppy day where he doesn't want to know you and lately he seems to be doing that a lot like a stroppy teenager!but I love him to bits so its a case of scolding him when he's in one of those moods
Oh, SpeedyBunny! I love you and Luna, too! I'll let you in on a secret, ... ALL bunnies are my favorite bunnies, so I could say that about every single one of you! I just wanted to give a good example of Rexie Whiskers, and Clovie Boy has quite a few examples of close up face shots on his website. He's kind of a camera ham, so his mommy gets lots of good shots of his precious face. You're all unique and perfect! ... hee hee especially all big white bunnies! :)
To Speedy's Mum, Now that Speedy is a teenager and texting and online and all that, I feel, as a mum, you need to be careful about monitoring the web sites he visits. He is a fine, handsome young bunn, and this website is visited by individuals who have confessed openly to the Elmyra syndrome. Think about what is best for your bunn!
I love this sort of groveling/sucking up syndrome when a hooman fears he/she may have offended a rabbit .. of course as long as it does not become pure sucking up, which is a sure sign of total loonyness ....
Yes, RG, it is indeed well for us to remember that SUTTR is one if the Seven Disapprovable Sins. It's also totally futile, but we don't seem to be able to help ourselves.
RG, it is good to have you back on your feet or at least back at your keyboard. Things have really slid down hill while you were battling your cold, but no matter how bad things have gotten at DR, don't be getting yourself riled up. Your BL, the bunns, and your public don't want you risking a relapse.
RG, you talk tough and all ... but if I lived in a houseful of rabbits ... I wouldn't be so quick to shoot my mouth off about no groveling. Those furballs will have you begging to be let back in if they had thumbs and could get into your computer and read your comments ... hee hee! :)
@SixBunnies: It's true that they don't give us butt baths. If it was worth their effort, they would prefer to hold our other ends (our heads) underwater until we stop struggling. It might be more trouble than we're worth to do that, though.
Yes, J2B, the Bunns know that if they just wait it out, left to our own devices, we'll eventually do something stupid and take care of that for them ...
The Rex rabbit is a special challenge. I love thier whiskers ~ I refer to them as 'old man whiskers". I have a Blue Rex with real white curly wiskers ~ so unique.

But then,
I remain,
A. Stoopid Hoomin
wait, IS she a rex?
BWB !
Can't even abbreviate over there, Fleetie?

I can't really see whiskers...

She is beautiful! But, I am a little confused/uninformed. Are a certain kind of whiskers diagnostic of Rexes? I love BWBs so much.
Rexies' whiskers are kind of bent and (forgive me, Noel, I mean no disrespect) a little scraggly in the cutest, most perfect way!

Wait ... I do live in a house pretty full of rabbits ...
... and I suck up to rabbits ...
...you don't see them giving us butt baths do ya?
Noel, I hope you live a long, happy, royal life, Sweetest Baby! You are just beautiful!
