I just love a saucy little dutchie.
I think that Magic will disappear from the shelter into a furever home soon.
That would be the best Magic trick of all :)

No comment necessary! Magic is so perfect!

Magic used to have a job in a show getting pulled out of a hat, but was let go due to "attitude problems."

Dutchies are the best!

Magic was such a sweet model while I was doing his early headshots, then I got serious bunnitude. This was the result.

I don't think my camera lens has been the same since. I think that raspberry (not to mention a dutchie's glare) gummed up the focusing mechanism. :)

Magic must go home with somebunny soon! That bunnitude is too much to handle not having his own personal, dedicated slave! Someone near him, go adopt him, fast!

Going once! Going twice ....

Hurry hurry hurry ....

I don't know. At the shelter he had an entire staff to do his bidding.

Though he does have to compete with the other bunnies. Better find him a home before he decides to make the competition disappear.

Dear Kat, I hope you are getting hazardous duty pay! I know you are doing your best, but there is no keeping the secret about what a dutchie slave is in for. Napoleon placed some relative on the Dutch throne and in his first speech, he said, "I am your Rabit." The Dutch must have been reeling. I have seen at least one really old blue and white tile with nothing but a little dutchie painted in the middle. We are talking about a really venerable tradition of disapproval. You got to take photograph. Imagine painting a portrait. Anyway, thanks for what you do. I hope none of this haunts your dreams.

@Kat: I hope some magic happens for little Magic, and quick! That kind of bunnitude can be toxic in high concentrations. I visited your adoptables page. That Gelato bunny.....ahhhh! Divine!

Gelato's a sad story. He and his brother were dumped at the shelter over a year ago and then his brother was adopted, which left G-Bun alone. LARF got him out and he's been in a series of foster homes since (including mine with two very bunnitudinal furballs who wouldn't go for a trio). So I gave him Artie, the Arctic Hare, to share his pen, just so he's have somebun to cuddle next to.

A few months later, we thought he found a wife, but she just wanted to be roommates and then not even that. So he goes on regular speed dates with potential girlfriends, but he's such a doofus that he turns into a puddle of unmoving fur when he gets around a girlbun. She gets frustrated that he's not doing anything and gives up. As soon as she leaves, he grooms Artie like there's no tomorrow. If he'd only do that with a real bun!

We're hopeful for Gelato and Magic and the rest. We have a lot of wonderful volunteers and foster parents.

@Kat: There's always hope! It took HRH Queen Phoebe and Prince Consort Drizzle 11 1/2 MONTHS to realize they are in love. I'm sure there is juuuust the right girlbun out there for lovely little Gelato.

Wanted: Staunch, completely submissive hoomin slave to lovingly cater to Magic's every whim. Must be able-bodied and quick to retrieve treats, tidy litter box, maintain a clean driver's license for middle of the night runs for timothy hay, and be able to withstand jolting disapproval without the slightest wavering in devotion. Some intelligence preferred, but not required.

Apply for consideration by Magic at Los Angeles Rabbit Foundation.

I wish I wish I wish I could take all homeless bunnies and give them my home forever.
Bunny poops do not bother me at all. I throw them at my boys and my husband and say "the bunnies left you something". I love bunnies. They are all very magical.

... yes, very very magical disapproval. Makes me feel I definitely don't get enough disapproval :-) Wish you a sweet hoomin and lot's of nutriberries.

In an addition to anonymous. Dutch word for king is koning, pronounced cowe-ning. Dutch word for rabbit is konijn, pronounced cowe-nain (more or less). Hence why the frenchman pronounced himself rabbit of the Dutch.
