Great video, great method acting on the part of Billy!
"Stranger, I've been gettin' word of carrot rustlin' up north in the kitchen area and I'm here to tell ya this carpet here ain't big enough for two. You got 'til sundown to leave nice and peaceful like, 'cause I've got an itchy trigger paw."
Amazingly well done, but I am with Dakota. How about a sequel to the tune of, "You better let somebunny love you, you better let somebunny love you, before it's too late . . ." What the heck is that song - Desperado! That's it! I am waiting.
I think all the inspiration behind Desperado was spontaneously generated and flung out into the universe by Bill himself. All credit is due to the original casting and stellar performance of Bill.
A sequel??? That would be AWESOME! We're eagerly looking forward to it!
And Queen Phoebe and Prince Consort Drizzle think Spontaneous Hoomin ComBUNstion is too much to hope for. They know, they've tried. I'm still disappointingly here.
I have to say that the best part about all of this has been the comments from this website.
And good news: a very dramatic / epic Lonesome Billy poster is on the way. I'll be sure to post a high resolution copy for anybody to save for themselves.
... oh what an incredible treat!!!! How about "When the bun comes around" ;-)
"And I heard, as it were, the noise of disapproval. One of the four buns saying, 'Come and see.' and I saw, and behold a carrot top"
There's a bun goin' 'round takin' names, And he decides who to disapprove of and who to blame. Everybody won't be treated all the same, There'll be a golden carrot reachin' down. When the bun comes around.
The fans here are hoping for a sequel. But now Bill has gone from relative unknown to big screen talent, for his next movie he will be demanding his own double wide pen, personal assistant, fur and makeup consultant, salad chef, and security team. Next time, his agent will not allow the Talent to perform his own stunts. No interviews, and for goodness sakes, keep the screaming fans *behind* the barricades.
My favourite part is at :40 where he tilts his head up in a very noble pose to correspond with the lyrics. You can clearly see that Lonesome Billy is a bunny to be reckoned with.
J2B: I went and watched even more carefully. 40 is a splendid profile. The actress also just breaks my heart. She's truly I believe the expression is "almost too good." Heart wrenching. I have to ask, though, have you ever you ever seen such a bunny belly as Billy's. What a leap, what a tummy, what a fight to live! I'm in love. This was true and brave and so tragic - the idea that Bill had to turn to guns instead of meeting a mentor capable of helping him nurture and release his deep disapproval, and no bunny should ever be lonesome or homeless. As I have said, I am waiting for the redemption sequels. Andrew, Buns and Chou Chou on Rabbit Bites did a piece about when Buns was on the street.
Did that poster ever happen? I saw this accidentally on youtube last Sunday and have been in love ever since. My dutchie, Anya, has not seen it. She is not as computer savvy as my duck Snuggles (who is a Muscovy)

I secretly hoped Lonesome Billy would find a bunny friend at the end. Maybe we could connect them with bunny adoption options :-)
That is most excellent! Someone put real effort and thought into making that!
Goes to show: Don't face up to a Dutchie!
Fantastic!!!
Fantastic!!!
Billy ain’t gonna argue with stoopid hoomins who did him wrong. You’re headin' for Sad Hill Cemetery where you’ll soon be pushing up dust bunnies.
very brave of Billy's hoomins to leave him with a gun handy! Great film!
well now. you've certainly given me some ideas billy. btw, where can i get a gun?
What a talented actor you are Billy! Amazing! Very believable death scene! Can I have your autograph???
Best Ever! Nominating this for the next film festival.

Best. Bunny Video. Ever.
And another excellent submission from Furbeast!

"Bunmatcher, bunmatcher, make me a match,
Find me a find,
Catch me a catch,
Night after night in my cage I'm alone,
So make me a perfect match!"
Yeah: Find me a MATCH to make "Spontaneous Hoomin ComBUNstion" happen!
"Strike... Strike... Strike... PSSHHHHHHHH! 'AWWW RIGHT!!!'"
(Might have been listening to too much early Def Bunneh!)
Hello all, this is Andrew, the director of Lonesome Billy.
First off, thank you all so much for the kind words, makes me eager to work on the next thing.
And I LOVE the idea of using Desperado in a sequel!! I'll be sure to give credit to the posters on disapproving rabbits for the inspiration!
And Bill says hi!
Great photography, really well done. I loved it. Two bunny ears wayyy up!
I loved it!!!
Andrew, this is destined to be a classic! Thank you for putting it together. I suspect even Queen Cinnamon would approve. Five Nutriberries!

Andrew, all paws up for the slave of a Dutchie! wow ...
You don't tug on Superman's cape.
You don't spit into the wind.
You don't pull the mask off the ol' Lone Ranger,
And you don't mess around with Bill!
This is actually the best thing in the entire world.

Thanks again for all the support!

P.S. Will Bill be autographing the poster?
I've watched this over a dozen times now and it just gets better and better. Very classy B&W film!
HYSTERICAL! I love Lonesome Billy! Maybe Billy should meet me... Lonesome Luka... Hey Billy, check me out at wheresluka.blogspot.com!!
I love the way the video stays true to the song, very well done. This could be the start of something good, great job.

Oh, lest there be any doubt, let me add that it is always the humans in the drama who must seek redemption.
What a wonderful film! A great tribute to a great rabbit! love you, Billy
Well, I have a problem. Scout, my black and white dutch, now wants his own short video and gun.
I think he and Billy were separated at birth.
Love it!

I forgot I had that picture there, of Snuggles
