Does humanity stand a chance faced with such utter cuteness-slash-disapproval?
I think humanity stands a better chance against a 500-ton asteroid hurtling toward earth.

... well, have confession to make. Really needed some extra disapproval after this week. Slow Friday night, so me went by myself to see Hop ;-) Yep. E.B. and his cohorts are great. Hoomins on the other hand, well you know, can't expect too much. Except the Blind Boys Of Alabama!
The ancestors of this current trio did call in for an astroid hit to get rid of the dinosaurs and make the world safe for buns. Today's buns understand the meaning of unintended consequences and there will be no 500-ton asteroids regardless of our preferences. Some in the bun scientific community do question whether any lifeform as noxious as hoomins would follow in the wake of another asteroid hit, but the bun public was simply not willing to take the risk
