Harper Lee and Scout

Well, at least the garish colors
distract us from your face.

These bunnies are available for adoption at Lucky Bunny Rabbit Rescue,
a satellite of the
San Diego House Rabbit Society!

Starry, starry bunneths.
Paint your palette blue and grey,
Look out on a summer's day,
With eyes that know the darkness in my soul.

Shadows on the hills,
Sketch the trees and the daffodils,
Catch the breeze and the winter chills,
In colors on the snowy linen land.

They would not listen, they did not know how
And they won't listen now

And when no hope was left inside
On that starry, starry night
You disapproved, as bunnies often do
But I could have told you, bunny:
This world was never meant for hoomins soopider than you!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that song! Got album on vinyl.

Move over - that's my side of the bed.
Not on your life...I just got it warm!

Now I understand why you disapproved of me,
How you suffered 'cuz of my stoopidity,
How you tried to make us see.
We cannot listen, we do not know how.
'Cuz we're still stoopid now.

Harper Lee and Scout,
Need a home where they can run about,
With lots of time to be out,
With hoomins with a little better taste,

Do not leave them there,
Such bad taste they can hardly bear,
Discerning bunnehs need better care
With hoomins with a little better flair.

I read a biography about Van Gogh recently. Apparently Theo, his brother, died shortly after he did and left his widow with at least one kid and an attic full of Vincent's paintings. She probably thought something like "What the heck am I going to do now! My husband and his crazy brother are dead and all I've got is a pile of paintings no one will buy." It's only because Theo's widow got in touch with some knowledgeable art dealers that managed the sale carefully and promoted them well. All those paintings could have ended up in a 19th century garbage pile.

... well, j2b, a light bulb just went off for me! Bunnies disapprove so strongly because they know they're way, way ahead of our times.
