What cute wild disapproval! I see wild buns in the yard and neighborhood sometimes in the evenings, but none as cute--or disapproving--as this little one.
Richard, wild rabbits are born with short ears and this little guy looks like he's just a baby. His ears will get bigger as he grows up. For the sake of humanity let's hope his disapproval doesn't do the same
@Helmi: I believe you're right! I wonder if Fleetie can help us out here. Given the blast radius in the picture and the littleness of the Wild Bunny concerned, how many kiloBuns of disapproval do you suppose an adult wild bunny can generate? Is the increase of kiloBuns in proportion to the size and age of the bun? Is it possible that the kiloBuns increase exponentially?
@j2b; if that logic were sound then judging by the number of wild buns in our neighborhood alone; a singularity has all ready been created & all you over there on the other side of the pond only have minu...
It's true the odds are small but a few of us may yet survive. Hopefully we have convinced some domestic buns of our utility and they may yet be able to convince the wild buns to spare us that we may serve. Thus I encourage all those luck enough to already be an indentured servant make offerings of dandelions and nutri berries, all our futures are in your hands.
Janet: Well, I'm no Dr. Bunford (that much is obvious; duh!), but at the very least, the disapproval yield of a bunny must increase with the cube of the bunny's length, since volume is proportional to the cube of length, providing that the other 2 dimensions remain in proportion.
However, I would expect a greater increase than that, because as a bunny grows bigger, it is also growing older, wiser, and more aware of The Stoopidity Of Hoomins, so that the Disapproval Yield (DY) of the bun per unit bun-volume will also increase.
Now this effect of age-related increase in DY per bun-volume will not be linear; neither will it be logarithmic or exponential. I would expect a somewhat rapid increase in the first few months, which would then flatten off considerably as the bun reaches adulthood; though I would still expect a very gradual increase throughout adulthood.
So I don't think it's easy to express the DY of the whole rabbit as a simple single-term power-law; it's going to be much more accurately expressed as some more complicated polynomial in (length and age).
But this little furry cutie is looking mighty disapproving. I suspect that s/he has just started to realise that s/he has hoomins living nearby, and is NOT impressed!
@DB: Currying favour with our bunmasters in hopes that they may advocate on our behalf will prove to be necessary. Fleetie: Your knowledge of the bunsciences will stand you in good stead. Stacey: RIP
I will be absent from DR for 10 days. HRH Queen Phoebe and Prince Consort Drizzle have become disgusted with me and are sending me away. Their other indentured servants will be tending to them. I will be pondering my crimes on a distant southern island. I am told this particular penal colony serves pina coladas, so my banishment may not prove as onerous as I feared. I do not want my sudden absence to be a cause for alarm among the DR community of indentured servants. Keep the (bunny) faith, and I will, in time, return.

that is one Pissed Off Bunny
adorable!
"Despair", please. Wild Bunny goes *wild* when affronted by spelling errors! :-p
Thanks! :-) Where in the world might one find a wild rabbit with such short ears? I'm genuinely curious.
Wild bunnies have no use for puny humans.
"Go ahead, Hooman - just TRY to touch that white spot you want to so much ..."

I suspect instead of a pit of despair, it is the blast radius of the last disapproval handed out to passing humans.
... that is one serious spill of wild disapproval! Would there ever be enough dandelions and pancakes to cap a mean gusher of this buntitude?
You're right, Bunns... I *do* want to pet that cute white spot!!
