I think Jimbie is saying something more like "put this silly book away and feed me then play with me, or I'll chew every other page so the story don't make any sense."
Jimbie thinks we have been wasting our time. Hoomins are far too stoopid to benefit from reading. We should get back to our bunny care chores and put such frivolous thoughts out of our heads. We should be content with our lot in life: indentured servants to our bunnies.
I was just re-reading passages from our copy of _The Little Prince_ (a WONDERFUL book for animal lovers!), and noticed that the book's spine and jacket had been carefully gnawed by one of our late bunnies who had already "graduated and left for 'college'". Made me smile.
Let's hope Jimbie know how much his autographs'll be worth some day!
Jimbie definitely has chewed up her portion of books! But she only went as far as to mark herself on this one-I gathered all my courage and showed her who was boss!
But I would say Casper has it right on the ball. She demands neck massages night and day!

Wow! Bunny bookmarks that magically inflate back to full size AND come to life when you open up the book!
Now one of those I would like to have!
Conversely, I would like to be able to apply the reverse process to some of my "colleagues" and ex-GFs!
