The stereotyping might make us uneasy today, but I had African-American friend who told me he didn't mind the stereotype because taken in context, Benny treats Rochester as his friend, and Rochester often outsmarts Benny.

Eeek, clothes (hats are unnecessary clothing too). Try to play dead like I do when they dress me up. Sure enough, after a few minutes of being stared at with great pity, the humans undress me.
