The caption is just to lull us into a false sense of security. Mr. Mitzy is lying in wait for the next person to say "Merry Christmas!" He will then LEAP up and PUNISH the offender!

It hears carrotinis being made; it hears hay being ruffled; it hears hoomins being, well, stoopid - as always - and it hears opportunities to assert his bunny authority in his house! the hoomins may have put a Santa hat on Mr. Mitzy, but little do they know that it has the effect of magnifying his desire for vengeance! Mr. Mitzy will bide his time, and plot revenge!
AND ANOTHER THING....Mr. Mitzy insists that you change his name to something fearsome, like Zorgot or Hemrah. How is he going to strike fear in the hearts of evildoing hoomins with a cuddly name like "Mr. Mitzy"?
