Two consolations:
1. If Oreo is indeed implying that you are as dumb as a post, at least the post hasn't been chewed.
2. Oreo is referencing the wooden form of post rather than the blogging form--or is he?

Maybe the baseboards behind him remind him more of us. They appear to have been chewed AND they are being ignored.
Oreo has very good posture: Just look at those two front paws tucked up neatly together!
Not like a scruffy, clumsy hoomin!
That's the way I feel trying to get my sisters to listen to me.
