Chowder is scrunching his ear up in disgust at the mere sight of hoomins infesting his house.
He has decided that they'd better make themselves useful, by bringing him food and treats, or it's going to be "Out! Out on your ear!"
That really is a contemptuous expression!
Perhaps he is pointing out with his ear the exit route we sorry hoomins will take upon our expulsion. Unfortunately, it is not a matter of "if", but "when"!!
Helicopter ears = much disapproval
