Airborn Disapproval

From the Telegraph:

Showjumping rabbits tipped to become Britain's most talented pets

A pair of rabbits called Bubbles and Lilac are among the favourites to become Britain's most talented pets.

The hopping, skipping and showjumping rabbits are in training for the finals of a nationwide competition to find the country's most amazing pets.

Bubbles and Lilac are being coached by owners, twin brothers Mathew and Thomas Haslam, both 15, in the garden of their home in Moorends, Doncaster.

The brothers have set up their own stable of 20 rabbits complete with a show jumping course with different fences to test out the rabbits' jumping powers.

I suspect our gang would just disapprove. Too much following directions!

Look at the ears! No wonder that bun is so good at flying:-)

That picture is PRICELESS!

I tried showjumping with my bun... he was not keen on following directions, but he was very grateful that I showed him he could jump over the baby gates I set up everywhere. *facepalm*

I suspect bun-air command is pretty upset this picture got out. If buns are training for tactical air strikes, hooman-kind is in for some serious disapproving. Airborn delivery of kbds? Uh-oh.

[Kate Bush] Wow! [/KB]

It doesn't get much more impressive than this flying bunny!

What a photo!

I thought the Danes were the ones who invented bunny showjumping--or at least I remember a video from this site being posted on Cute Overload a couple of years back. (Looked like lots of fun for humans and buns alike, though--I sent the video link to everyone I knew and challenged them to watch it without adding their own "boing boing boing" soundtrack. :-) )

Showjumping rabbits!!! Don't these two boys realize that they are endangering the future of hoominkind by training these buns in the principles of flight??? You can tell by the concentration on Lilac's face that she is already planning world domination!! We don't stand a chance.....*sob*

My old bunnies used to do that! I didn't have nice jumps like these boys do though; they had to put up with hay bags and bits of bamboo propped up on plantpots. XD

I think if I suggested it to the buns I've got now I'd be eaten.
