It may be that Finn disapproves of the colour of the furniture, and that he thinks it should be a better colour - like his own, for instance.
Hey! He's trying to do his hoomins a favour by improving their furniture's appearance! They could show a little more appreciation - by giving more treats, for example....
The advanced class in fur design includes instruction on "recovering" hoomins with fur so that they will compliment the interior decor.
My little princess likes to help us sort the laundry. To make sure she not only claims the laundry, but leaves a bit of fur behind to prove it's hers.

Fin is trying to look past us, so we don't gross him out. After all, we are not covered decently with lovely fur, like buns are. No matter how hard they shed on us hoomins, not enough of it sticks and we still have ugly skin and clothing sticking out. UGH!
