Now that I've delurked (um, not sure if we've ever met...allow me to introduce myself...friend of Lorraine and company from ever so long ago) anway, I've been meaning to tell you for AGES that your Disapproving Rabbit fiend, er, friend has a bit of a following amongst troops stationed in Iraq.Which reminds me, we also got a picture from Natalie:
About a year ago (not sure exactly when)Stars and Stripes published an article (from AP, I think) just inside on top second page. We got our copies printed small size (to save paper) so the cover pic didn't come out that well, but some of us got access to the online version and printed it out. The many versions I saw (recaptioned) from the operating base in Kirkuk in the North to Camp Victory in Baghdad were highly entertaining.
Cinnamon and company were great Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) bunnies!
I hopped all the way over here for pellets?Hi! My brother is a Marine stationed in Al Anbar province, Iraq. He and his fellow Marine buddies found this VERY disapproving bunny at the outskirts of their base and gave him some food. You can just tell that this is NOT a happy bunny.Astonishing. The idea that this silly little blog of frowning rabbits has brought some joy to people as far away as soldiers in Iraq makes all of us deliriously happy. Stay safe over there!

Is there any way we DR fans here in the USA can buy copies of the book to be shipped directly to troops in Iraq? I know I'd subsidize one as a morale-booster, and if we could get enough from others, Sharon could maybe send a boxful. What do you think?
There's actually a group set up to send books of all kinds to soldiers. It's called (strangely enough) Books for Soldiers and has a great website that tells you how to help.
I think this is really cool. It warms my heart to think that Cinnamon and Company are doing something that helps out our troops. I've said to many of my friends that I think God made rabbits to make us smile--just look at them: big ears, little tail, little front feet, big back feet, wiggly nose, and all the other silly things about them. They always cheer me up when I'm feeling down. I'd be happy to donate a copy of DR, too. Anyone else?
Hooray! I'm so happy my little Simon, Cinnamon and all of our beloved disapproving bunnies are aiding our courageous men and women in uniform.

I am a long time lurker as well. My own mini-lop passed away last summer and I still miss him. I just wanted to say how wonderful I think it is that they get to see Cinnamon & friends in Iraq.
I believe this to be truely wonderful for Cinnamon and friends! You are now international! All the bunnies of the world unite in disapproval. (Boopalina just did some binkys) God bless the soldiers fighting for us! I'm glad that the buns can bring a smile to them over there. God bless!

Very cool, I teach in a High School and have students who aren't really cooperating look through DR, usually puts a smile on their face and we have a place to start !!!
Birdchick, cinnamon, et al - I just wanted to say this brought a tear to my eye, and I'm so very happy that you posted it. I love the disapproving bunnies (even if my bun is too silly to be very disapproving himself) and to know that they're giving a smile to our brave boys and girls in harm's way, just makes me smile. Who knew this was a public service as well as very serious entertainment? :)
Poor soldiers in Iraq, but good to know that there is always some disapproval of the rabbit kind with them.

annonymous: A dangerous place for a bunny? You underestimate the POWER of the disapproval.
I hope they will be careful with that one... For a bunny to survive in such a hostile environment, the levels of disapproval it can generate must be deadly! You DEFINITELY don't want to see this one angry!
There's no place on earth where you're going to be safe from the disapproval of a bunny!
