He is one of the most amazingly handsome bunnies I have ever seen.
I'm like... WOW...
I have never seen one like him. Is he a 'black otter' rex? Are they are to find? I've always gone for lop ears before... but I could be seduced away by that boy..
We're not sure what sort of rex he is. He's quite brown (we thought chocolate) but noone's given us a conclusive answer. We weren't into rabbits when we got him but when the chap at the garden centre said they could live indoors he came home with us (we were there for gardening stuff!). He had those strange ears that aren't upright like most rexs.
I'd never get a rabbit from a pet place again though. Our other 3 have all been rescue rabbits.
I must just say that Russell and his 2 girlfriends stay at our rabbit rescue on their holidays and one of his girlfriends came from our rescue centre. Now, I will point out at this stage that Russell has owners who LOVE him more than you can imagine, he lives the life of wonderful bliss as a house bunny with all the space, toys and good quality hay you could imagine. Not only does he have ONE beautiful girlfriend..no, he has TWO beautiful girlfriends. The boy is a vertitable Hugh Heffner of rabbits. He comes to our 5 star boarding facility on his holidays (none of yer cheap motel standards here) and all round this boy has it all...the looks, the life, the love...and is he grateful?Humble?Appreciative? OF COURSE NOT! Russell DISAPPROVES so deeply he really doesnt believe that we are worthy to look at him and believe me, I know....I bear the scars of his disapproval on my heart forever....(!!!!!)
Russell is too handsome! *fainted* And thank you for sharing the pictures of Russell and Poppy, Mark. So much disapproval mixed with adorableness... *faints again*
Ah ha! So not a rex at all after all these years. He certainly looks like the chocolate Silver Marten on that page. Thanks. He'll not be happy we've misled him all this time.

He's going to bite me when he sees this.
wow, you ARE a most handsome bunny boy!
thanks for making my day a bit brighter!
Yes, that's a very pretty bunny...
Wow! A most handsome bunny indeed.
What a gorgeous bunny! Serious disapproval, too.
Somehow disapproval in such a handsome package makes it easier to take.
Wow, that is one beautiful bunny... my skin isn't even burning from the disapproval right now......AAAAAAAAEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEIIIIIIIIII
That's not our Russell. He's not moulting.
What an incredibly good-looking rabbit.
That is the most beautiful bunny I have ever seen. Stunning.
Nice bookcase
@Mark: can you unlock your blog for us? We NEED to see more pictures of this gorgeous rabbit. It's a rex, no?
Russell looks a bit like a Sci-Fi rabbit!
The fate of such truly handsome, gifted bunbuns is to show us lesser beings the truth. All hail, handsome, gifted Russell !!!
I don't have a blog but I do have some more photos of Russell with his now sadly passed away girlfriend Poppy: http://www.unhinged.eclipse.co.uk/
He's now got two other girl friends who I've not got pictures of at the moment I'm afraid. He is a rex though.
@mark. Thanks! Poppy was a stunner too! I'm sorry she's gone. And you take great pictures. I especially like the ones taken outside.

Likewise the stacks make me say "pahteweh" damn them stacks! dens of iniquity and whatnot!
What kind of breed is Russell? My rabbit looks just like him, and we can not figure out the breed.
Thanks.
He's a Rex. They've got velvet coats, curly rather than straight whiskers and standy-up ears as opposed to lops. They come in loads of colours.
Thanks for the message back. As soon as I posted my question I read the above posts. I search "black otter rex" and my bunny looks like one.
