Ah, yes, well the chances of us saying"Hoppy New Year" are only slightly
better than the chances of you
getting out of this room alive.
All disapproval, all the time.

Stumble it! :: Add to Del.icio.usTime for more fun with Buns and Chou Chou, and this time, it's a Christmas message... a message that says, "enough with the freakin' Chipmunks already!"
Personally I rather liked Chipmunk Punk (and consider their version of "You May Be Right" to be the definitive cover), but yeah, I can see where Buns and Chou Chou are coming from. This one may not be for the little 'uns, especially if they've enjoyed the recent CGI film. Happy Holidays!

Stumble it! :: Add to Del.icio.usThe Philadelphia Weekly's Lit Gloss column gave us a nice mention:
The photographs in this book prove Cinnamon was not unique. Each and every rabbit therein gazes autocratically, and Stiteler has helpfully provided translations. A portly white puff sternly says, “Are you still here?” A reddish bunny on a leash says, “You know, not everyone can wear spandex.” A similar-looking bunny, this time enjoying an outdoor scene, says, “Your insufficiencies wound me to the core.” That’s right, folks. You’ve got 179 pages of this, and you’re going to laugh at about 160. You can’t say that for Danish existentialists. If I remember grad school correctly, they aren’t nearly as judgmental as bunny rabbits.
Hey all, just a note to let you all know that we've caved to popular demand and now have Disapproving Rabbit mugs (and some images of birds. Birds! Harumph) available for purchase.
Sharon posting here instead of Cinnamon because I just had to express my excitement and gratitude to artist Marcy Hall. The whole Disapproving Rabbits thing has been one heck of a ride. We really did just start it for fun and it totally blew our minds that it would ever become a book. But it's the little things that have happened since that makes me smile. When Marcy emailed and asked if I would mind if she did a portrait of our Disapproving Rabbit, we were honored and we looked at her work and loved the whimsy. What came in the mail when she finished was not only huge but just amazing colorful fun!
We tried showing it to Cinnamon and she hid in her Cottontail Cottage judging it right away to be a thing of evil.
We tried to coax her out with her favorite snack (Nutriberries) so she could get a good look at her portrait and maybe even disapprove of it a little.
Her tummy eventually got the better of her and she came up to give it an inspection and ask the eternal bunny question, "Can I chew this?"

Stumble it! :: Add to Del.icio.usThe crew at Big Hat Books has put up a bunch of photos from when I was forced--forced, I tell you--at attend a signing there. Still, they did let me hop around, and the pictures do capture some fine disapproval on my part.
Hello, all, NBB here. Just a quick update for those of you who have placed an order through the Birdchick Store: we are getting our next shipment of books and shirts in this week,
and expect to have all orders filled shortly. Thanks for your understanding, the book was selling so well, even we had difficulty getting a copy!
If you have any questions regarding your order, please feel free to email us!

Totally geeking out, Amy Sedaris loved the book! Totally geeking out! By the way, is that not the cutest stationary?
Hey all, we got an email from the fine folks at the Minnesota Companion Rabbit Society, and they are at "bunny maximum" as we like to say here: too many buns, not enough volunteers. If you can take a bunny into your home, either as a full-on adoptee, or simply to foster some disapproval (for fostering, MCRS can provide all equipment, covers medical expenses and provides hay/pellets/litter, too! You just need to provide the love, attention and fresh greens). If you would be interested in this important volunteer job, please contact MCRS for more information.
MCRS also needs volunteers and donations in many other areas as well, including socialization and drivers. So please help out this worthy organization. You can get more info at their website!
Another new video from Rabbit Bites: this time, Buns and Chou Chou talk politics with Libertarian Party Chair William Redpath. Seriously.
Can I tell you how I enjoy how wonderfully weird Rabbit Bites is? Here's the head of a political party sitting down to be interviewed by two rabbits regarding his position on gun control, the moral situation in Las Vegas, and gun control (as it pertains to hunting rabbits). Buns and Chou Chou work to create a show that consistently makes me think, "Wait... did I dream that?"
Anyway, there's the new show. For those of you at work, I should tell you there's a clip of a Vegas showgirl. Enjoy!
